From WhatsApp video calling to WhatsApp status, The messaging giants are continuously improving the messaging experience.
Whatsapp has just rolled out new updates to enable the best communication experience for their ever-growing subscriber base.
Here are the new updates rolled out by Whatsapp
Whatsapp for businesses
Whatsapp now has a platform that businesses can officially use to connect to their customers. Though the product is in its product-test stage, progress has been recorded.
It will have a verified profile so people can identify a business from another person and an easier way to respond to messages. Whatsapp business will be made custom for small businesses and an enterprise solution for bigger businesses.
Businesses will be able to use Whatsapp solutions to provide customers with useful notifications like flight times, delivery confirmations, and other updates.
This new feature will allow you to share your real-time location with family or friends.
Here’s how it works. Open a chat with the person or group you want to share with. Under “Location” in the attach button, there’s a new option to “Share Live Location.” Choose for how long you want to share and tap send. Each person in the chat will be able to see your real-time location on a map. And if more than one person shares their Live Location in the group, all locations will be visible on the same map.
Whatsapp’s “Unsend Chat Message” Feature
Whatsapp according to WABetaInfo is currently testing an ‘unsend’ feature which will help users to get rid of messages sent either by a mistake or deliberately.
The ‘Retract’, ‘Recall’ or ‘unsend’ message feature have been implemented in other messaging apps like BBM, WeChat, and Viber.
With the new feature, you can save yourself the embarrassment and guilt you feel when you send out wrong messages.
Note: Chats can only be deleted within 5 minutes after delivery and if it hasn’t been read by the recipient.
